Ronald William Clark (1916-1987) was born in London in 1916 and was educated at King's College, Wimbledon. He began his career in journalism in 1933, and after working on various publications, he became a war correspondent for British United Press, landing at Normandy on D-Day. The author of hundreds of articles, Clark wrote books on subjects as diverse as mountaineering and nuclear fission. He also wrote many biographies including Sir John Cockcroft, Sir Henry Tizard, The Huxleys, J. B. S. Hald...
